It is programmed in Ruby On Rails, some scripts are in Perl, we use Nginx as our web server and Ubuntu as the operating system. For database we choose Postgres, for fulltext searching ElasticSearch. For caching is used memcache, redis and MongoDB.

Hearing impaired subtitles have the sounds noted in the subtitles that a normal hearing person can hear. For example, if the phone rings the notation (phone rings) is included in the subtitles. Those persons that are not hearing impaired do not want the notations there for the sounds they can hear anyway, but hearing impaired persons need them to understand what is going on in the movie.
