And a suggestion:
At Reports, a lot of admins pushes 'OK' to delete subs without checking that what the fuck they are deleting... That should be solved like for example for a normal user delete report should be needed 2 admins to be OK'd, or something.( This is not for the admin's disable process)

hm, if it is so, we need to investigate which admins doing this. If there is deletion I always check why I should delte those subtitles. Also I thought, there should be some comment from admin, why it is deleting, and on those subtitles, should be that message, so users can check, why those subtitles was deleted...

let's totally disable the deletion at reports, just we should take place with 'investigate' button. That button will lead to the sub sheet, and there the admins can disable with the normal way.

Hello Os, I`m written to you because I want to ask you if you could verify the situation we have with the User: robot2xl , he is using the program filebot uploading automatically a lot of subtitles every day, and he doesn`t check them. This makes the admins work very dificult because we have to correct the most of subtitles he uploads. I`ve sent him a lot of messages to let him know what is going on but he never answers.

Hi OS,
I just registered to opensubtitles.org last night, and successfully upload one Thai language sub for "De Marathon". But I got error when tried to upload another for "Pacemaker" which is srt format. The error was "Unsupported subtitle format for CD 1. Only srt, sub, smi, txt and ssa formats are supported". I guess the error may be because this movie is 2CDs but I have one CD version subtitle. How can I resolve the issue.

You have to make the upload to the site a SRT, SUB, SMI or TXT file, nothing else is supported.

I've seen reports made by other users that you send many subtitles that already exist in the site.
Before sending subtitles should do a search to see if the subtitle already exists or not in the database.
Something is wrong,there should be no subtitles in duplicate.
Duplicate subtitles SHOULD be ERASED.

I uploaded (or at least tried to) a brazilian portuguese subtitle for the movie Shrunken Heads from 1994 (release Shrunken.Heads.1994.DVDRiP.xviD.ASJ-CG), but it's not showing up to be downloaded, sometimes it does, seems there are many glitches. I got a mail from a user saying he tried to download it and there was an error message (Subtitle file 1955115915.gz for 6535175 was not found on hdd).
I tried to re-upload it, but there was a message saying that OS already has it, so I don't know what's goin' on. I don't even know if this is the right place to post this. Anyway, any help would be good.

it's me again. I thought since you are a nice guy I can ask you for a favor. It's a small favor, nothing big. Is it possible to put a subtitles from my old username "Neeboo" to a new one that is "-Neeboo-"? Somehow i couldn't get to my old password even with a old e-mail so i change my nickname from "Neeboo" into "-Neeboo-". Now is the problem that the computer memorize this two names as a different members and i can't get all the subs with the old username to fit with my new username. Truly piss off already. You should check the Estonian page and see, what is going on there. That admin from the year 2014 putting only herself movies to the featured subtitles. All the list of hers only... Like nobody else not translating anything. Second - some friend asking from her to be sub translator, and what admin doing? She is giving the right for him. She is taking subtitles and putting her name there and uploading again, like sub file her file. How long that is continues? I never saw something like this some other pages... Weird. And this person is admin? Like, really?

Thank you for putting my authors name back to the movie "The Possession of Michel King" from where it was deleted by the anonymous. Now i updated the subtitle and i hope that someone will soon do the change for a new version. It's gonna be V3 version. A admin slaks had made a V2 version by putting my name into the movie but he didn't place my name as a translator so i couldn't make no update. Now i hope is just a matter of time when someone is going to make an update so the users would have a better translation for this movie. Thank you.

Like for Silicon Valley, he makes subs that only has half of the text in it?
When asked, he just says "you can always get your subs from somewhere else".

you helped me out once and now i need your help again with the subtitle update.
It's about this new subtitle of mine where someone had also deleted the hashtags movie filenames.
It was a huge thing to do, this translation of the 2:30h long movie, over 1.800 translated lines. I've done it for the kids who bagged me to translate this movie. And without a script and pretty bad audio i managed to translate this movie. So i posted the subtitle here and over 5.000 people downloaded it in a few days.
Yesterday I've done the final touch, fixing some sync issue, added italic font and made some minor translation change. So i uploaded the subtitle to be updated but no one is reacting. I send a mail to admins mail, they respond was "support" and "thanks". But the subtitle hasn't changed.

i don't understand why i'm a platinum member with over 40 translated subtitles because a person who just copied my subtitle and got only 3 uploaded copies of subtitles has the same status as platinum member.
This guy Filip4444 is the second one who had just copied my subtitle in the last 2 days and uploaded my author subtitle that already existed.

The same thing did a guy yesterday and his copy of my subtitle was deleted.
I have left a note that each one who will upload the subtitle that belong to a person who translated the movie, each one should first check if the subtitle is already uploaded by the original author of the subtitle.
This is fourth time i notice my subtitle was copied and uploaded and all the previous copied subtitle were deleted by admin or by the uploader himself.
So please do the right thing.

Hi, is it possible to inproove the advanced filter? For example: I would like to filter all titles in the data base that are missing subtitles in specific languages by having them at least in english.
While i could use the filters available at the moment of rating, year, only movies or series.

He's temporary not available and here's the problem. I don't know if some members which are posting the duplicates are blind but once again i found two copies of my original subtitles.

Sou amador na legenda, não utilizo software para isso apenas Google Tradutor e Notepad para legendar e legendo apenas séries animadas que não tem legendas em português do BR. Acredito que o grande propósito da legenda é fazer a pessoa no mínimo entender um pouco sobre a obra. Mais esse ser parece que quer tudo 100% perfeito.

thank you for deleting the subtitle duplicate.
The guy who posted this duplicate seems to be frustrated by that decision and so he rated quality of my original subtitle with 1 point (bad).
The other 8 users rated the subtitle with 10 points (excellent) and i think that this man with the nickname Big-Boss is wrong by rating my subtitle with 1 point.

thank you for deleting a second attempt to post a stolen subtitle of my original author's subtitle for the movie Tenet.
Four copies of my original Tenet subtitle have already been deleted. And that's OK.
But i can't stand those who steal other people's work and effort and at the same time delete the name of the original translator and put their name in its place.
Such conduct is unacceptable and should be sanctioned. But that is just my opinion.

explosiveskull is a bad admin. Instead of answering questions and solve the issues, explosiveskull is just aggressive and threatening. So I deleted my two PROPER subtitles for OSS 117 (full english sub and partial french). Then for now, I stop to help/upload on opensubtitle, I prefer to help/upload on other subtitle sites with more friendly admins. I hope for opensubtitle that "os" will find better admins than him.
