De Londense top-agent Nicholas Angel wordt door omstandigheden overgeplaatst naar het slaperige plaatsje Sandford. Er valt helemaal niets te beleven in tegenstelling tot de actie in Londen en Angel vindt het moeilijk zich aan te passen. Dan wordt hij ook nog gekoppeld aan de jonge en nogal onhandige agent Danny Butterman. Net als hij er de brui aan wil geven, zorgen een aantal mysterieuze voorvallen dat Angel opeens in actie moet komen en hij ontdekt al snel dat Sandford helemaal niet zo'n slaperig stadje is als hij dacht... themoviedb
