Original title: The Last Temptation of Christ

木匠出身的耶稣经常为偏头痛所折磨，他在朦胧中感到了上帝的召唤，意识到自己将作为救世主，牺牲自己去拯救世界。他开始了在沙漠中自我放逐的40天的寻道之旅。当耶稣的精神战胜肉体，他就无所不能，甚至挖出自己的心脏给门徒看，叫苹果树立刻生长结果。但是他无法驱逐自己的内心的魔鬼，也无法平息对于自我的犹疑，他表现出一个普通人所具有的惶惑和忧虑，倒是犹大不断的安慰和鼓励他。耶稣在人性和神性之间摇摆。清醒后的耶稣指使犹大去向当局告发自己，以帮助自己实现为世人赎罪的使命。几天之后，头戴荆冠的耶稣被罗马士兵钉到十字架上。耶稣在十字架上忍受着巨大痛苦，恍惚中有一位天使告诉他上帝已经解除了他的责任，从此可以过上正常的生活。耶稣在天使的陪同下走下了十字架，像普通人一样娶妻生子…… themoviedb
