Li avevamo lasciati 9 anni fa a Vienna dopo una sera e una notte trascorsa insieme e un amore nato e rinviato ad un appuntamento qualche mese dopo. Li abbiamo ritrovati alla Berlinale (dove "Prima dell`alba" vinse l'Orso d'argento nel 1994) Jesse e Celine. Jesse e` sposato e ha figli ed e` diventato uno scrittore proprio raccontando la storia di nove anni prima. A una presentazione del libro a Parigi arriva anche Celine che si e' riconosciuta nella protagonista. I due passeggiano per le vie di una Parigi semideserta. Parlano di`se` di quanto sono rimasti uguali al se stessi di allora e di quanto sono cambiati. Ancora una volta hanno poche ore perche` Jesse ha un posto prenotato in aereo. Cosa succederà?
