Tommy Johnson is een jonge Londenaar die vindt dat hij een uitzichtloos bestaan leidt. De enige manier om zich goed te voelen is om met z'n kameraden -fanatieke Chelsea-supporters- te drinken, drugs te gebruiken, vrouwen te versieren en vooral: te vechten met hooligans van andere clubs. Hij leeft uitsluitend voor het weekend en alles draait om de knokpartijen met de diverse gezworen vijanden. Maar een aantal onverwachte gebeurtenissen en een stel akelige nachtmerries en visioenen maken dat de lol er vanaf gaat. De sfeer wordt grimmiger en hij krijgt steeds meer de indruk dat er verschrikkelijke dingen te gebeuren staan.
